A testament to pure links golf that you will not forget experience the unique collection of coastal holes cleverly routed around the tallest Lighthouse in Australia Cape Wickham, King Island, Tasmania.
The course that is now ranked #1 in Australia, was completed in late 2015, under the watchful eye of co-designers Mike DeVries (USA) and Darius Oliver (AUS), showcasing 18 holes over 6150m playing at Par 72.
We’ve all heard how this King Island course, where every hole has an ocean view which is extremely rare, quickly gained international recognition in the world rankings.
Visit, play and stay on King Island to experience Cape Wickham Links and allow your imagination to go wild with limitless shot-making possibilities over this undulating, magnificent, firm playing, world class Public course.
“The layout is made up of three basic loops, holes 1 & 5 on the Cape Farewell headland, holes 6 & 13 in dune land to the south of Cape Farewell, holes 14 & 18 in the Lighthouse/Victoria Cove zone.
From the Cape Wickham Golf Links clubhouse and accommodation one looks out over at least eight greens, including the dramatic finishing hole that runs along Victoria Cove with the sandy beach an integral part of the course and in play!
All around are sweeping fairways amidst rugged coastline. On a clear day, one can look across Bass Strait and see the Otways some 100km away.” Read more at https://www.ausgolf.com.au/guide/club/CapeWickhamLinks
